MAKING

Let’s make a tea party!

  • Set up a picnic blanket inside or outside your house. Who will you invite to your tea party?

  • Perhaps your Teddy Bears, Cuddly Toys, Barbies or Figurines may like to come?

  • Set your guests up with plates, cups and anything else you can think of.

  • Now let’s prepare a snack for your tea party. It might be a sandwich, carrot sticks, fruit or even cheese and crackers - prepare this special snack together.

  • Now serve your guests! Sit down together and enjoy this special tea party you have created!

MINDFUL

Let’s do some mindful eating!

  • Prepare a plate of snacks to eat blindfolded made up of whatever you have in your pantry or fridge. For example, on your plate you might have 2 pretzels, a carrot stick, a teaspoon of cereal, a piece of fruit and a bit of cheese or a frozen pea (but anything is great!)

  • Close your eyes (or wear a blindfold) and explore each food:

  • Before you put it in your mouth hold it to your nose - what does it smell like? Do you like the smell?

  • Now pop it in your mouth and see how it feels on your tongue - smooth? Sticky? Hard? Is it dry or wet?

  • Take a bite - what does it taste like? Sweet? Sour? Savoury? What does it feel like now?

MOVEMENT

Let’s go on an alphabet treasure hunt!

  • See what you can find in your house for each letter of the alphabet! Try and find food for each letter (but if you can’t find food it can be anything)

  • Take a photo of all your alphabet treasures and send to Michal!

  • Now we need to tidy up - let’s see if we can put everything away while we listen to the song!
